Joshua Glenn was
born in 1978. He spent most of the first twenty-seven years
of his life in Chickamauga, a small town in Northwest Georgia.
From childhood, it was obvious he had a zeal for the arts
and an ear for music. In 1990, when he was twelve years old,
Joshua began taking guitar lessons. From that day, he practiced
guitar eight hours a day, seven days a week for the next three
years. He then started to progressively hone his crafts as a
singer/songwriter, all with a fervent zeal and excitement
that shows in his delivery as a performer.
Joshua has travelled extensively within the
United States, as well as in Central America and Europe. "Wherever
I find myself, I try to learn as much about that place and
its people as possible, absorbing whatever jewels of knowledge
I can find. Every person I meet teaches me something more
about life, about people and their ways of life, and about
myself."
Joshua's travels and experiences have a great
effect on his music. There is a vast differential in musical
styles and influences in his music; Country Music, Bluegrass,
Blues, Southern Rock, Soul, it's all there. Some of his greatest
influences include The Eagles, Van Morrison, Keb' Mo', Stevie
Ray Vaughan, and others too many and varied to mention them
all here.
So, what do you get when you merge over a half
century of musical influence into the heart and soul of an
accomplished songwriter, recording artist, and performer?
Something new, something exciting, and something different
every time he performs!
Joshua Glenn's soulful and heart rending delivery
of such endearing songs as "Tennessee" and "If
I Could" takes his listeners far away from things mundane
and ordinary, and leaves them wanting more. He shoots straight
from the heart, and aims to move you deep within your soul.
